Chat Fishing

Chat Fishing is a small Twitch chat game made for streamers who want an easy way to involve viewers in their stream. Viewers do not need to create an account or install anything, they participate directly through Twitch chat.

After the streamer signs in with Twitch, viewers can type !fish to join the fishing queue. The fisherman casts the line and either catches one of 144 different sea creatures or watches the catch escape. Successful catches are added to that viewer’s local collection, and !fishcount shows how many fish they have caught.

The compact square window fits neatly into an OBS layout. Hover over the game window to reveal the settings button. Streamers can adjust the catch chance, bite delay, result duration, catch effect size, background color, and per player cooldown.

Chat commands and response messages are fully customizable. Message templates support {user}, {fish}, and {total} variables. Any solid background color can be selected with the color wheel, making the game suitable for chroma key capture setups.

AI disclosure

AI assisted tools were used during development and to create the application icon. The gameplay design, feature direction, testing, and final integration were guided and reviewed by the developer.
